WHAT WE DO
Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS) is a missionary, non-profit making, non-governmental, and international organisation for social development and charitable purposes. It is the strategic missionary arm of the Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF), an interdenominational and evangelical body of Christian intellectuals who use the benefit and opportunity of their knowledge and exposure to harness resources for the nations of Africa and the world in general.
AVTHS was established in 1997 by the NCGF and is independently registered with the governments of Nigeria, Ghana and The Gambia as a charity organisation. AVTHS has the mission to write, publish, print and distribute FREE gospel tracts and Christian literature in different languages for the execution of the Great Commission, to equip people for His Kingdom, and to meet basic human needs through appropriate social, medical, educational and relief projects.
The spread of AVTHS activities has been made possible also through the partnership with groups such as English and Portuguese Speaking Africa (EPSA) of International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES), (Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), Calvary Ministries (CAPRO), Family renaissance International (FRI), and Well of Salvation among a list too long to mention.
All our tracts are distributed FREE as the Lord provides fund through willing partners of Christian friends, organisations and churches.
We are assured that the availability of gospel tracts in the indigenous languages of a people coupled with free medical outreaches will bring about deep transformation in the target community. This transformation will lead to higher productivity at the academic and professional levels, increased social consciousness concerning personal and community hygiene and sanitation, and enhanced personal satisfaction and affirmation that bring about proper self-esteem
Our singular objective is to spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ that has the power to liberate people from the clutches of evil perpetuated through sin, ill-health, deformities and pain.
The vision for this project is given by the Lord to pool resources together and produce tracts and other instructional materials for the execution of the Great Commission to bring back the King – “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come” (Matt 24:14). We also undertake medical missions to needy communities in Africa as the need arises and resources pooled together.
AVTHS has given hope, life and love to many people in some rural communities in Africa through evangelism using our gospel tracts in their own native languages as well as through medical missions.
These two areas of assignment of AVTHS – evangelism through tracts and medical missions, have had great impact on many lives across the world.
Through our Capacity Building activities like our “Writers Workshop”, “Pastoral Leadership Advanced Program (PLAP)” and skill acquisition programmes, we help churches, individuals, organisations, schools and educational institutions train persons to improve on the writing skills and acquire knowledge required for normal daily use and activities.
To do more by collaborating with individuals and organisations to:
- Build human capacity through the acquisition of skills
- Provide drinking water
- Build schools
- Build health facilities
- Equip hospitals and
- Train personnel in rural African communities.
