The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS), in partnership with Aso Villa Chapel, conducted a medical mission outreach to two orphanages in Bako-Kwali, Durumi, and Maitama districts, Abuja, on 30 April 2016. The programme combined medical services, evangelism, and social support for children and caregivers in the host communities.
The Orphanages visited were:
i. Christ Treasured Royal Orphanage Ministry, Bako, Kwali, FCT
ii. City of Refuge Orphanage, Durumi and Maitama, Abuja
The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:
i. 82 individuals, including children and caregivers, received medical attention from nurses and physicians.
ii. Pharmaceutical services provided free medications to all patients, including donations to the in-house clinic at Christ Treasured Royal Orphanage.
iii. Gift items were presented to the management of both orphanages.
iv. Meals were served to all children and caregivers.
v. 45 Holy Bibles and 60 mosquito nets were distributed.
vi. Children received easy-to-read gospel tracts in English.
vii. Some children made decisions for Jesus Christ during the outreach.
viii. 27 personnel participated in the programme, including medical staff, volunteers, and evangelists.
We thank God for the success of this mission and appreciate the partnership of Aso Villa Chapel, the dedication of medical personnel, volunteers, and caregivers, and the cooperation of the orphanage communities, which ensured the smooth and impactful execution of the outreach.
