The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS), in collaboration with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Obiaruku, conducted a five-day Medical Mission for residents of Obiaruku, Ukwuani Local Government Area, Delta State, from 24 – 29 November 2024.
The outreach provided free medical consultations, diagnostic tests, surgeries, counselling, and medications, while also hosting evening crusades to minister spiritually to the community.
The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:
i. A total of 1,030 patients were registered.
ii. 947 patients were attended to at the Vital Signs Department.
iii. 577 patients received consultations at the General Medicine Department.
iv. 414 patients were seen at the Eye/Optometry Department.
v. 540 patients collected medications from the General Pharmacy.
vi. 8 gynaecological surgeries were performed.
vii. 23 general surgeries were carried out.
viii. 116 ophthalmological surgeries were performed.
ix. 242 eyeglasses were dispensed.
x. 224 patients were attended to by the Laboratory Department.
xi. 562 laboratory tests were conducted.
xii. 4 units of blood were donated.
xiii. 864 patients received counselling services.
xiv. 316 individuals made decisions for Christ through counselling.
xv. Holy Bibles were shared: 70 Complete Bibles and 225 New Testaments.
xvi. 20,000 gospel tracts were distributed to patients and soul-winning organisations.
The evening crusades were strategically held throughout the mission, with prayers for deliverance, community transformation, and divine intervention. Numerous testimonies of salvation, healing, and miracles were recorded, affirming the hand of God upon the Obiaruku community.

SUMMARY REPORT OF THE EVWRENI MEDICAL MISSION 2025
The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS), in collaboration with local partners, conducted a five-day Medical Mission at Evwreni, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State, from 25 – 29 March 2025.
The outreach provided free medical consultations, diagnostic tests, surgeries, medications, and counselling services. In addition, the mission distributed gospel materials, Bibles, and essential items to the community while sharing the love of Christ.
The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:
i. A total of 966 patients were registered.
ii. 70 eye surgeries, including cataract procedures and trauma repairs, were performed.
iii. 21 general surgeries, including lipoma excisions and herniorrhaphies, in addition to 1 plastic surgery, were carried out.
iv. 262 patients were attended to by the Laboratory Department.
v. 596 laboratory tests were conducted.
vi. 350 patients were consulted by optometrists and ophthalmologists.
vii. 176 eyeglasses were dispensed.
viii. 746 patients received consultations from physicians.
ix. 700 prescriptions were dispensed by the Pharmacy.
x. 846 individuals received counselling services.
xi. 344 people made decisions for Christ through counselling and evangelism.
xii. 15 copies of the New Testament Gideon Holy Bibles were given to new converts and others.
xiii. 90 complete Holy Bibles were given to new converts and others.
xiv. 27,000 gospel tracts were distributed to patients and churches/groups for evangelism.
xv. Educational materials and clothing were distributed to children and adults.
The mission brought holistic care to the community, addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. We thank God for His mercy and provision, and we appreciate our partners and volunteers for their prayers, support, and service that made this outreach a success.
