Ajegunle and Snake Island Mission 2010

The Africa Vision Tract House (AVTHS), in collaboration with CAPRO and the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), supported two Christian Medical Missions in Ajegunle and Snake Island (now Jesus Island), Lagos, conducted from 2–3 February 2010 and 15–20 February 2010, respectively. These outreaches were organised to provide medical care and share the gospel with residents of the host communities.

In support of the missions, AVTHS supplied a total of 26,000 copies of gospel tracts in English, Pidgin, Yoruba, and Hausa, which were used for counselling, evangelism, and follow-up activities throughout the outreaches.

The Medical Missions achieved the following outcomes:

i. Two community-based medical outreaches were successfully conducted in Ajegunle and Snake Island.

ii. Free medical services were provided to residents of both communities during the outreach periods.

iii. Gospel tracts in four languages were widely distributed to support counselling and evangelistic engagements.

iv. The outreaches strengthened collaboration between AVTH, CAPRO, and CBN in community-based medical evangelism.

We thank God for the success of these missions and appreciate CAPRO and the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) for their partnership and coordination. We also acknowledge the cooperation of the host communities, whose support contributed to the smooth execution of the outreaches.
