The Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF) and the Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS) conducted the second medical mission to the Ikono Community, Ikono Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, from Monday, 4 March to Saturday, 9 March 2013. The outreach was organised to provide comprehensive medical care, counselling, and evangelistic services to the host community.
The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:
i. Over 2,300 patients received medical attention across various specialities.
ii. 520 eyeglasses for sight and reading were dispensed following eye examinations.
iii. 106 major, general, and eye surgical operations were performed.
iv. 430 individuals made decisions for Jesus Christ during the mission.
We thank God for the success of this outreach and appreciate the commitment of all medical personnel, volunteers, and partners. We also acknowledge the support and cooperation of the Ikono Community, which facilitated the smooth and effective implementation of the programme.
