YENAGOA MEDICAL MISSION 2013

The Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF) and the Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS) conducted a medical mission to the Opolo Community, Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State, from Monday, 27 May to Saturday, 1 June 2013. The outreach was organised to provide medical care, counselling, and evangelistic services to residents of the host community.

The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:

i. 1,909 patients received medical attention during the outreach.

ii. 374 eyeglasses were dispensed for sight and reading.

iii. 763 laboratory tests were conducted to support diagnosis and treatment.

iv. 91 general and eye surgical operations were successfully performed.

v. 481 individuals made decisions for Jesus Christ during the mission.

We thank God for the success of this outreach and appreciate the commitment of all medical personnel, volunteers, and partners. We also acknowledge the support and cooperation of the Opolo Community, which contributed to the smooth execution of the programme.
