The Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF) and the Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS) conducted a free evangelical medical mission in Odukpani, Cross River State, from 23–29 March 2014. The outreach provided comprehensive medical care, counselling, and evangelistic services to residents of the host community.
The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:
i. 1,643 inhabitants of Odukpani and surrounding areas received free medical care, including general and eye surgeries and medications.
ii. 404 eyeglasses were dispensed for reading and sight.
iii. 52 general and eye surgical operations were performed.
iv. 233 laboratory tests were conducted.
v. 100 Holy Bibles and 96,000 gospel tracts in English and Efik were distributed.
vi. 578 individuals made decisions for Jesus Christ.
vii. Nutrition analysis and Body Mass Index (BMI) calculations were conducted for 404 participants.
We thank God for the success of this mission and appreciate the dedication of all medical personnel, volunteers, and counsellors. We also acknowledge the cooperation of the Odukpani community, which contributed to the smooth and effective implementation of the programme.
