AJAH MEDICAL MISSION 2017

The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS), in collaboration with the Upper Room Baptist Church, Lekki–Ajah, conducted a one-day Medical Mission for residents of Ajah and surrounding communities in Lagos State on Monday, 2 October 2017. The programme, tagged “Come and Eat 2017,” was organised to address the physical (food and clothing), medical, and spiritual needs of the beneficiaries.

This outreach provided an opportunity to minister holistically to the community by combining healthcare services, counselling, and evangelism, while demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ.

The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:

i. A total of 152 patients were registered.

ii. 109 patients received spiritual counselling.

iii. 40 individuals made decisions for Christ, including 15 former Muslims.

iv. A total of 345 laboratory tests were conducted.

v. 152 patients received medical consultations.

vi. 144 patients collected medications from the pharmacy.

vii. 54 ministers and volunteers participated in the mission.

viii. 37 persons underwent breast and cervical cancer screening.

ix. 100 gospel tracts were distributed to patients.

We thank God for His mercy and provision throughout the mission. We sincerely appreciate our partners, volunteers, and all who contributed through prayers, donations, and active participation, making this outreach impactful and successful.
