The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS), in collaboration with the Isemi-Ile/Imia Indigene Pastors’ Fellowship, conducted Medical Missions for residents of Isemi-Ile and Imia communities, Kajola Local Government Area, Oyo State, from 27 to 30 November 2022.
The missions provided an opportunity to address the medical, physical, and spiritual needs of the communities through healthcare services, laboratory testing, counselling, distribution of medications, and evangelism. The outreach also included a three-day open-air crusade, further extending the reach of the Gospel. Local pastors have committed to follow up with the newly converted individuals.
The Medical Missions achieved the following outcomes:
i. A total of 414 patients were registered.
ii. 553 cases were attended to by the General and Eye clinics.
iii. 97 eyeglasses were dispensed.
iv. 327 bottles of eye drops were distributed.
v. 214 laboratory tests were conducted.
vi. 362 patients collected drugs from the Pharmacy.
vii. 384 individuals received counselling services.
viii. 82 people made decisions for Christ through counselling.
ix. 15 Holy Bibles were distributed to patients and mission partners.
x. 12,000 gospel tracts were distributed to patients and groups for evangelism.
