The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS), in collaboration with The Voice of Hope for Children Foundation (VOH), conducted a free Medical and Social Services Mission for residents of Mbierebe Obio, a prominent village in Uyo Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State, on Thursday, 16 November 2023.
The mission provided holistic care to the community through medical services, counselling, evangelism, and the distribution of food items and clothing. The health clinic offered a wide range of services, including physician consultations, pharmacy services, vital signs checks, HIV testing, and health education.
The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:
i. A total of 306 patients were attended to, including 296 adults and 16 children.
ii. 53 individuals made decisions for Christ through counselling and evangelism.
The AVTHS team mobilised skilled volunteers, including medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, laboratory scientists, and ministers of the gospel, to deliver these services.
