The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS), in partnership with the Centre for Mission Development (CMD), Foursquare Gospel Church, Kokoro Abu, Sabo–Ikorodu, and Trinity Church, Ikorodu, Lagos, conducted a one-day Medical Mission for residents of the Kokoro Abu community, Sabo–Ikorodu, Lagos, on Saturday, 28 April 2018. AVTHS contributed drugs, laboratory materials, and gospel tracts to the mission, and 12 members of the AVTHS mission team actively participated.
This outreach provided an opportunity to meet both the medical and spiritual needs of the community while demonstrating the love of God through healthcare services, counselling, and evangelism.
The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:
i. A total of 188 patients were registered.
ii. 144 patients received spiritual counselling.
iii. 23 individuals made decisions for Christ, including 9 former Muslims.
iv. A total of 118 laboratory tests were conducted.
v. 201 patients collected medications from the pharmacy.
vi. 250 gospel tracts were distributed to patients.
