The Nigeria Christian Graduate Fellowship (NCGF) and the Africa Vision Tract House (AVTH), in collaboration with Pro-Health International, conducted the second Christian Medical Mission to Sierra Leone from 28 February to 8 March 2010. The outreach took place in Bonthe Island and Freetown in response to pressing spiritual and medical needs in the hinterland, as well as requests from Sierra Leonean brethren and the Nigerian High Commissioner in Freetown.
A 16-member team comprising seven medical doctors, a pharmacist, a nurse, evangelists, and other professionals was deployed for the mission. In support of both the outreach and the AVTH Sierra Leone office, the team conveyed 200 Bibles, 150,000 copies of English gospel tracts, and an additional 4,000 copies of French tracts. The programme in Sierra Leone concluded with a press conference, and upon return to Lagos, the mission leadership addressed the Nigerian press on 9 March 2010, with coverage by Champion Newspaper, The Sun, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), and The Punch. Encouraging testimonies have continued to be received from the AVTH Sierra Leone office.

We also acknowledge the cooperation of the Sierra Leone authorities and host communities, and we give thanks for the continued testimonies emerging from the field.
