ABA MEDICAL MISSION 2017

The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS) participated in a Medical Mission organised by the Association Peace Development Initiative (APDI) and Challenge AIDS and Malaria in Africa (CHAMA) at Emmanuel Medical Centre, Aba, Abia State, from 6 to 11 February 2017. AVTHS contributed drugs and gospel tracts to the mission, and 13 members of the AVTHS mission team actively participated in the outreach.

The mission provided an opportunity to meet the physical, medical, and spiritual needs of the community, demonstrating the love of God through healthcare services, counselling, and evangelism.

The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:

i. A total of 864 people were treated at the General and Eye Clinics.

ii. 40 general and eye surgeries were performed.

iii. 56 eyeglasses for reading and sight were dispensed.

iv. A total of 119 laboratory tests were conducted.

v. 736 persons received counselling services.

vi. 159 individuals committed their lives to the Lord Jesus Christ.

vii. 3,000 gospel tracts were distributed during the mission.

viii. 650 New Testament Holy Bibles were donated to beneficiaries.

We thank God for His mercy and provision throughout the mission. We sincerely appreciate our partners, volunteers, and all who contributed through prayers, donations, and active participation, making this outreach impactful and successful.
