The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS) was invited to collaborate with Africa Professional Resource Mission (ApRM), Missions Aid International, and Soul Harvesters Ministries to execute a two-day Medical Mission in the Umuchime Ogume and Ogbe Ogume communities, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State, Nigeria, from 10 to 11 March 2017. The mission was organised as part of the activities to honour the transition to glory of Chief Patrick Chukwuneku Olise, the father of our esteemed partner, Pastor Godfrey Olise.
The outreach provided an opportunity to minister both physically and spiritually to the community through healthcare services, counselling, and the distribution of gospel materials.
The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:
i. A total of 302 patients were registered.
ii. 42 individuals made decisions for Christ.
iii. A total of 249 laboratory tests were conducted.
iv. 6,000 gospel tracts were distributed to patients, the church, and the participating mission agencies.
v. 14 eyeglasses were dispensed.
vi. 58 women were screened for cervical cancer.
We thank God for His mercy and provision throughout the mission. We sincerely appreciate our partners, volunteers, and all who contributed through prayers, resources, and active participation, making this outreach successful and impactful.
