The Africa Vision Tract House Society (AVTHS), in collaboration with Imole Oluwa Baptist Church, Ejigbo, Lagos State, conducted a one-day Medical Mission for residents of Ejigbo, Lagos State, on Saturday, 16 December 2023. The outreach was held at the church premises located at 27 Oluyoye Otenaike Street, before the Egbe Bridge Bus Stop, Ejigbo.
The mission provided medical care, laboratory services, eye care, counselling, and the distribution of medications and eyeglasses, as well as the sharing of the gospel.
The Medical Mission achieved the following outcomes:
i. A total of 170 patients were registered.
ii. 152 patients were attended to by the General Medicine team.
iii. 143 patients were seen by the Laboratory Department.
iv. 522 laboratory tests were conducted.
v. 95 patients were attended to by the Eye Department.
vi. 60 eyeglasses were dispensed.
vii. 138 patients collected drugs from the Pharmacy.
viii. 146 patients received counselling services.
ix. 14 individuals made decisions for Christ through counselling.
We thank God for His mercy and provision throughout the mission. Appreciation is extended to our partners, volunteers, and the host church for their prayers, support, and active participation, which made this outreach impactful and successful.
